Friends of George’s is a resident theatre company in the Theatreworks family of companies. We create,write, and produce original theatrical productions incorporating production numbers and drag entertainment.
Much of our inspiration comes from the traditions started at the iconic George’s Disco, which was a legendary nightclub in Memphis, TN. George’s was known as “The Showplace of the South” due to the elaborate entertainment and high production values.
Friends of George’s seeks to keep that tradition alive by creating “drag theatre” that is lively, fun, and ultimately a celebration of life. We hope you will come and join us!
