The Pride and Equity Alliance at the University of Memphis is comprised of faculty and staff (members and allies of the LGBTQ+ community) who are working together for the following:
To raise awareness of the LGBTQ+ community’s needs
To identify and correct shortcomings at the university
To combat macro and micro-aggressions
To review processes to ensure inclusion and fairness
To educate the University of Memphis community
The Pride and Equity Alliance strives to create a better University of Memphis and a better Memphis for everyone of all gender designations and sexual orientations through partnerships, education, and the purest respect.
