The Orpheum Theatre Group is a nonprofit arts organization that offers year-round live entertainment, performing arts, and educational programming at its two venues: the historic Orpheum Theatre and the Halloran Centre for Performing Arts and Education.
The Orpheum has been the Mid-South home of touring Broadway productions since 1977. In addition to the Broadway Series, the theatre also hosts performances by Ballet Memphis, various concerts, and local cultural and community events such as Memphis in May and the International Blues Challenge. – See the History of the Memphis Orpheum Theatre
The Halloran Centre for Performing Arts & Education introduced a new downtown space for performances, events, education, and outreach in 2015. Totaling over 39,000 square feet, the centre provides ample space for the Orpheum Theatre Group’s own education and community programs. The new centre also allows us to present more concerts, family programs, and multicultural events in a modern theatre with a state-of-the-art sound system.
The mission of the Orpheum Theatre Group is to enhance the communities we serve by utilizing the performing arts to entertain, educate, and enlighten while preserving the historic Orpheum Theatre and the Halloran Centre for Performing Arts & Education.
